Antennas for Mobile Communication
Prague, June 21-25, 2010

in collaboration with UPV Valencia (prof. Miquel Ferrando Bataller),
UPC Barcelona (prof. Lluis Jofre), UPM Madrid (prof. Manuel Sierra-Perez),
IMST (Dr. Marta Martínez-Vazquez)
Course topics:
- Antennas for user terminals: Small antennas
- Theory of characteristic modes, its applications to antenna design, measurement
- Higher order modes for the design of planar antennas with specific properties
- Propagation in build-up areas
- Base stations and smart antennas
- Antennas for mobile communication devices, design and measurement
- Small antennas – applicators for medical applications

Course schedule: 40 hours
Prerequisites:
Basics of the theory of electromagnetic field
Availability: 40 students
Student grant information:
a maximum of six grants for 400 EUR registration fee
will be granted to students from no-profit institutions
